Swami Blue Aluminum Screw Kits For Rustler/Stampede/Bandit

Finding a screw kit for your Rustler/Stampede/Bandit can be a frustrating task. None of the 'big companies' sell them, and trying to purchase all the screws individually can wind up being very costly.

Swami-RC solves this problem with 2 different screw kits, both intended for the Rustler/Stampede/Bandit. The first kit contains (37) pieces for a modest $15. This will replace *most* of the screws on your truck, but leaves out the fasteners for the linkage rods if you're still using traxxas-style rod ends.

The second set contains (16) pieces for $7. The smaller set replaces the linkage fasteners left out from the first set. Swami also offers 'both kits' for the better-value price of $20. I purchased both sets, and I'd recommend anyone else do the same. Even if you use some ball ends on your truck, and don't make use of all (53) pieces, you simply can't go wrong at $20. Let's face it, with R/C's, extra screws are *always* a good thing.

The screw kits arrived in small resealable bags. After dumping out the contents, and examining a few, it's hard not to realize these screws are SWEET. The blue anodizing is high-quality and I really like the hex-heads over a standard phillips screw.

A lot of companies, when selling R/C screw kits, provide just the screws and no indication of where to install them. Swami goes a step further and provides full-color installation diagrams. They're easy to follow and with the color-coding, I think even my 6-yr old could install these screws:

In conclusion, these screw kits are definetely worth the money. The sweet-looking blue aluminum really dresses up your truck, and the hex heads make maintenance much easier. The only 'con' I'll note is that aluminum *is* softer than steel. In general, the screws on the Stampede/Rustler/Bandit don't take that much abuse, but in some places like the larger screws at the front bulkhead the aluminum is a little weak. Fortunately, if you bend their aluminum counterparts, you should still have your original steel screws to re-install here. All-in-all these screw kits are a great product.
